LAUD is an Australian luxury womenswear label founded on a commitment to thoughtful design, exceptional quality and transparency. Created in response to a fashion industry too often lacking in honesty and craftsmanship, LAUD pairs contemporary, considered silhouettes with premium materials. Each piece, an investment, a distinctive yet timeless addition to the woman's modern capsule wardrobe.
LAUD is devoted to working exclusively with 100% natural textiles, from the fabric used for the shell and lining of our garments through to our packaging, reflecting our uncompromising approach to quality. The aim is to create pieces that are both long-lasting and respectful of the skin, the body’s largest organ. As natural textiles present unique design limitations and challenges, LAUD works closely with highly skilled tailors to ensure every garment is crafted with precision and to the highest standard.
HERITAGE
LAUD was founded in 2022 by co-owners Annie Gittany and Veronica Wenn. The name itself is a tribute to Annie’s grandmother, Laudy Melhem, a Lebanese woman who migrated to Australia during the 1970s in search of opportunity, security, and a new beginning beyond war. Her resilience and strength became the foundation of the brand and continue to shape its values. LAUD honours the stories of women just like Laudy by celebrating identity, culture, womanhood, and self-expression through fashion.
